The churches Primary Mission

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." 

1 Corinthians 10:31 

This verse tells us that our primary mission as the church is to bring God glory! The Bible tells us in numerous places that it is our job as believers is to bring God the glory he deserves. 

So what does this mean? How do we do this?

I think this means that what we do in our everyday live matters! God cares for us and watches over us. This means doing the right thing in front of people and behind closed doors. 

We show people the love of Christ especially when it's hard and that's what brings God the glory because without him we wouldn't have the patience we need to handle tough situations. 

This does not mean it is easy but that's why we have Christ! Pray for the patience and for your actions to glorify God!

The bible also tells us that we glorify God  

by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. 

(2 Corinthians 5:18-20)

I think the church today has forgotten to keep there eyes on Christ and instead we focus on earthly rewards and desires. Just the other day I had an opportunity to  do something pretty cool and exciting and instead of praying and considering it I tried to jump into it head first, but then the day of I realized that what I was doing was not something that would glorify God. 

Now this opportunity was not bad however it did nothing for my spiritual growth or my mission on earth as a Christian and follower of Christ! 

So before you dive into something head first pray about and ask yourself is this bringing God glory. 

This is just something I've been thinking a lot about and hope that it will help someone else!

Positivity

Being positive is hard but I believe it is also the key to a happy life. I know for a fact that the more you are around negative people the more negative you become.

Life isn't suppose to be miserable or negative, life is suppose to be positive and beautiful! God created us for a purpose and while we may not know what it is at the beginning of our lives as long as we follow God he will work his will out in our lives.

So think positive and try to remove those negative people or things from your life. God is good! 

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

Proverbs 17:22

Thoughts

Hey guys! 

So as the new year has rolled in I have been thinking a lot lately about what the future holds or more importantly who holds my future! 

The Bible tells us this,

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

God tells us while we may not know what our future holds or what God has in store for us, He knows the plans that He has made for us! God loves us so much that he not only watches over us but he has a plan for us and while we may get worried at times that he has forgotten us we can come back to this scripture and know that it is quite the opposite of being forgotten! 

So don't lose hope in whatever you feel left out on! God does have a plan for your life and that is pretty exciting! The God of the universe has a plan for me! 

I heard the new casting crowns song on the radio today and I want to share some of the words with you...

"So when you're on your knees and answers seem so far away

You're not alone, stop holding on and just be held

Your worlds not falling apart, its falling into place

I'm on the throne, stop holding on and just be held

Just be held, just be held"

God is there and He has a plan for your life in fact he has already been to the end of your life! So follow him and be held by him! God loves you!

Fall Bedroom Decor

Happy fall!!! Fall is definitely my FAVORITE time of the year! I have decided to share some of my bedroom fall decor on a budget!! 

1. Fake orange flowers and green vase both purchased from the dollar store! 

2. Gold crown tea light candle holder which I bought from hobby lobby.

3. The mulled cider candle which I purchased from walmart.

4. The marshmallow pumpkin body spray and lotion which I just bought from bath and body works.

5. The vintage silver tray which I found at hobby lobby as well.

All of these items were under $7 each! Super cheap and cute for my nightstand!

I love fall and even more than that I love fall decorations! Happy fall ya'll! Comment with any questions! :) 

What's in my carry on?

What's in my carry on you ask? When going on a long flight it's important to have everything you need as to keep sane! So here is what I packed in my carry on for my 8 hour flight to Alaska!

1. Cosmetic bag which will hold items 2-11. 

2. Tissues because sneezes are unexpected! 

3. Makeup wipes or wet wipes.

4. Ibuprofen or any type of medication needed. Headaches are also unexpected! 

5. Pictured is wax and picks as I have braces but having tooth picks or floss on hand is always good!

6. Tums... Need I say more?

7. Gum for both the ear popping and bad breathe! 

8. First aid kit!

9. Roll on perfume... Trust me you will need it when you land after a long flight!

10. Hair bow

11. Lotion

12. Hand sanitizer... Just in case.

13. A pocket charger! Great for on the go charging and long flights! The one pictured is the pocket juice brand and it works awesome!

14. Headphones! Beats are the best and they cancel out the loud noises on the plane!

15. Pen

16. iPad or laptop... Because if not you will be the most bored person alive!

17. Bible and notebook... These are my must haves for anywhere! 

18. A GREAT book! Electronics get old after awhile and a good ole paperback is always good to have on hand!

Book of the month! 

Hey there! So I started reading paper towns by John Green last month and haven't been able to finish it yet! So I am going to make it my book of the month to read! I am very excited for the movie and to finish the book!

Favorite Ulta Beauty Brand Make-up

Hello again! This week I wanted to share my favorite Ulta Brand Make-Up products! I started using Ulta products after I had received a gift card from a friend. I wasn't sure about the products at first as I had been using other brands for awhile. But I gave Ulta a chance and now love these products. In the picture below you can see the black tube is a primer, this is one specific for red skin. My face is naturally really red in the T Zone area, but mostly on my nose.

I use the primer first and it really helps the red to die down. I also love their mascara and eyeliner, both are awesome and the mascara wand covers the whole lash as you apply it therefore it takes less time to apply. Last is the pressed powder, I love the powder and the coverage I can acheive when using it. I normally use a concealer underneath of the powder but if I am feeling lazy or I wake up late, using just the powder works as well.

So there you have it! If there are any other Ulta poducts that you guys like, please comment below! Or if there is another brand you like better.
